Rich Taste VS Poor Reality

So, I had my second opinion today for my eye situation.  And now I don't know what to do.

Let's use an analogy where ice cream is involved.  I can always relate to that. 

You're standing in the grocery store looking at the different kinds of ice cream.  There's the 1/2 gallon for $2.50 that is just okay.  You know, it will satisfy the craving, but just won't be as rich, creamy, or have as many chunks of chocolate in it.

Further down the aisle, is the REALLY good stuff.  It's got lots of those yummy chunks, very smooth and rich.  But, it cost $4.89 for 1/2 gallon.

So, there is a definite cost difference.  And even some noticeable differences in product.  But, in the end, both items are on the ice cream aisle.  Both are cold.  Both have chunks of yummy stuff.  And you could satisfy your craving with either one. 

Sometimes, it's just worth a little extra money.  But, what if it's a LOT of extra money?  I know this will dramatically change and improve my daily life though.
