Sappier than I usually am...

This post is mostly for journalistic purposes. Don't read if you are looking for entertainment. And there may be some nauseating sappy stuff in it also.
It is so nice to be away from the kids sometimes. I would do it more if I could. Thanks to Grandma Georga and Aunt Britta for helping us out. The kids had a great time!
When we got married, it seemed like it would take forever for us to make it ten years. But it didn't take that long after all. I can't even believe that it's already here. To celebrate our first decade together, Will and I headed to southeast Utah for the weekend. The only really plan we had when we left was to do some sealings in the Monticello Temple. Sort of like renewing our vows. Only with strangers around. We were able to do that, and it was very nice. The temple has been expanded since we got married and we hadn't been to it since. It was the first of the "mini-temples". We took some pictures outside, similar to the wedding day. Only this time, it was cloudy and cold. And there were far fewer people around.
The weekend was filled with doing whatever we felt like. Not being ruled by some child's schedule or bedtime or crankiness.
Most of our courtship (brief as it was) was spent down in that area. We went to some of the places we went back then. And we went to a few more. I finally went to Canyonlands N P. I think that was the only one here in Utah that I hadn't been to yet. We spent some time in Moab. I've never done more than just drive through there. We were able to watch the great football that was on Sat. night. Woohoo!! We wouldn't have been able to see any of the BYU game at home.

It was so nice being with Will. I really like him. I don't know how I got so lucky. Here's to another decade. I'm afraid it will go even faster than the first one did.
