Laugh at Jessie

Here's a little story so everyone will know what a space-case I've become. At one point in my life, I considered myself reasonably with-it. Of course, that point was before children.

This morning, in my normal routine, I was putting in my contacts. This is something I have had to do for nearly 20 full years. It's not a new thing. As I pulled open the cap, my contact was thankfully there, but there was no solution in the well. Hello! Who forgets solution for their contacts to soak in?
Thankfully, I wear RGPs so they contact is always hard. But what's wrong with me? I can't even remember something I've been doing for years- decades!
(Note to self- save some $ for Lasik!! Then this won't happen again.)

I really think I would lose my head if it weren't attached. How did I get this way? It kind of makes me nervous. Am I forgetting more things than I even realize?

Laugh at me and feel better about yourself for today.

Don't worry, I opened my case the other day and there was solution, but no contact. I had to search all over the counter to find it, and by then it was unwearable, since I wear soft lenses. So, yeah, you're not the only one . . .
