Windy: That's how I describe summer so far.
Not overly hot. Mostly, now, we've warmed up. finally!!
I went more than a week without posting!!
You should see our summer calendar:
Music
Art
Library
Reading
Free Play
Quick Clean
Field Trips
These are the things we do daily, or almost daily.
There was a puppet show/storytelling at the library last Thursday. I took my kids and the neighbor kids. One of them didn't think he was going to enjoy it, but I'm pretty sure he ended up liking it quite a bit. It was the old mythology story that had Medusa in it. It was told by "Indiana Bones." Quite fun!
Nolan had his first scout day camp last Saturday. He had an absolute blast!! I don't know what exactly they did, but he came home with a pirate sword and a ship and other things of that nature. He had a great time!! But, I'm not sure if he took his book to get things signed off or not.
In case you haven't hear; I'm trying/planning to open a preschool this fall. I am more excited about it than I thought I would be. Hopefully, I will get enough kids to make it worth while. I only plan to do one class (at this point) in the mornings on T/Th.
Last weekend, I tagged along with my friend that has a preschool of her own to a day-long, early childhood conference. (This is why I can't tell you more about Nolan's thing, I was in Cedar that day.) I came home with more ideas and a little more excitement.
I guess that's about it for now. I am looking forward to having family visit soon. I am WAY excited about this.
