Seeing Santa

We let the kids see Santa last week. It was at the ward party. As we drove up, they kept telling Will to keep driving to the other side of the church. I couldn't figure out why they were so persistent. Then Nolan made some comment about seeing the reindeer on the roof. I'm a little slow, so it still took me a minute or two to figure out what he was talking about. Then I had to explain to him that the reindeer got tired on their travel and went to nap while Santa did his gig. I have never even thought about such a thing.

Their pictures with Santa are on flickr. You can definitely tell which kid doesn't know that Santa brings toys and candy. She'll have in figured out next year, I'm sure. It doesn't matter a great deal though, none of them are getting what they asked for.

Can we move Christmas up one week? I'm ready. I have eaten a ton of fudge (and just made more). We also have some sugar cookies now. This is a first for the kids. I don't do that kind of cookie very well. Thankfully, they turned out okay. But, I don't really need MORE stuff to eat sitting around here. Anyway, we might just have the holiday tomorrow. Is that allowed? Then I can un-decorate the rest of my stuff.

I know you've heard this before if you've seen my blog at all. But here it goes again- as I just got home. Snow and ice are horrible!
