Captain America, Round 2

Last year, Calvin wanted a Captain America birthday cake.

But last year he was not "party year" for the boys.  So, we kind of had a do-over.

With a party this time.  :)

I am quite frankly surprised he could maintain attention to one theme for an entire year!

I think and hope he had a fun party.  He is getting older and I was of minimal participation for the games and things that were done.  Lets face it...Calvin and his cohorts just wanted to ram each other once they got their shields.

 

The cake was not cake, but brownies with ice cream in the middle.  A note about ice cream cakes...brownies take much longer to thaw and soften than cakes do.  Or ice cream for that matter.

 This wasn't a huge problem, but something I noticed is all.  It did remind me of a brownie sundae from Sandie's in Richfield.  Below is the final cake, after Calvin added his own touches.
