Liger and Such

The kids are totally involved in birthdays and planning for them and making them a big deal.  Which is mostly a fun thing.

 They had the dominant part of planning Will's birthday cake this year.  I have given up on trying to find gifts that he will like, I just tag whatever his most recent purchase is and call it a gift that he was able to pick out....then, I know he will like it, at least. 

Anyway, back to the cake-planning.  We threw this one together in a couple of days.  I usually have an idea that I think about for a couple of weeks.  Oh well.

In case you are not a fan, this cake it a Liger and a Napoleon Dynamite face.  The hair was supposed to be tater tots, in relation to the movie somehow.  Calvin was quite disappointed that I didn't make a special trip to get tots and place them on the cake.  Oh well.  It was a yummy cake!  And I guess it was pretty fun.  I didn't take the time I usually do in decorating, but that's okay.
