More Kitchen

We are one step closer to getting the kitchen presentable. Since having the ceiling dry-walled, we have bee living with a hanging, exposed bulb in the dining portion of the room. And that has been our only lighting. Well, the time changed and now it is fully dark when it's time to cook dinner. (Not that I have been doing much cooking lately.) I figured it was about time I bit the bullet and got the ceiling painted so we could put in some lighting. Ugh!!

I do not mind painting walls in the least bit. However, I do NOT like painting ceilings at all!! I did one little bathroom in our old house years ago- and that was enough for me.

Anyway, I really wanted to get that new Behr paint with the primer and paint in one. I did not want to pay that much for paint though. I bought some primer and figured I would go back for paint in a week or so. Then I got started this morning at 9:30am. By 10am I had decided to head on over to Home Depot and just get that great Behr stuff.

SO Worth the $$!!

There is NO way I could have done a coat of primer and then a coat of paint. My hands and shoulders and back are killing me as it is. The project still took me all day. (At least, I was in the living room doing that ceiling by the time the game came on.) In the kitchen, I was also re-painting all of the walls. Now I have the same color on my walls and ceilings in the kitchen and the living room. That is kind of boring for me. I'm one of those paint-everything-a-color people.

Right now, I want to go start putting up the lights. I am really no good at electrical stuff though. And it's close to 10pm. And Will's not here to help. So, I guess those will have to wait. Hopefully tomorrow. I'll post pictures when we get the lights up.

And then...I'll be to the point of getting some new curtains....there's always something else.
